Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has revealed what he spoke about with U.S. Secretary of States Antony Blinken on the sidelines of the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting in India last week.

Speaking in an interview on Russian state TV, Lavrov said that the conversation was ‘constructive,’ but he heard nothing new from the U.S. side. He added that they spoke for 10 minutes and discussed nuclear arms issues and the conflict in Ukraine.

According to a Bloomberg report, the Kremlin is opening up Vladimir Putin’s schedule around the G20 Summit in India this year to make it possible for the Russian President to participate in the crucial gathering. Putin skipped the last two G20 leaders’ summit as the West isolated Moscow for its war in Ukraine. But the West’s efforts to isolate Russia seem to be stalling as more and more countries, including India and China, refuse to parrot the West’s narrative on the war. India has officially invited Putin to the G20 summit and the Kremlin has accepted the invite.
