Russian forces may advance as far as Ukraine’s capital Kyiv or the western region of Lviv. The startling claim was made by former president and one of Putin’s closest ally Dmitry Medvedev. Medvedev told Russian news agencies that ‘nothing can be ruled out here.’ Lviv, main city in Western Ukraine, is about an hour’s drive from Poland border.
