Putin laughs as sanctions fail to crush Russian economy; Waves sarcastic goodbye to Western firms

Russian President Vladimir Putin waved a sarcastic farewell to foreign businesses which have left Russia over the conflict in Ukraine. He said that their departure would only benefit Russian companies. He said those companies will suffer major losses as a result of exiting a large and lucrative market.

Scores of Western companies have left Russia amid unprecedented sanctions imposed by the West. Yet Putin has managed to keep the Russian economy afloat and withstand western efforts to ‘punish’ Kremlin war efforts.
