Putin winning, Zelensky losing – US Army says ‘very difficult to remove Russian troops’ from Ukraine

U.S. Joint Chiefs of staff chairman Mark Milley told reporters at the Ramstein Air Base that he did not believe it was realistic to expect Ukraine to push Vladimir Putin’s forces out of its internationally recognised territory.



He said that from a military standpoint, it would be difficult to eject Russian troops this year from occupied territories. However he added a caveat saying that he did not believe it was impossible. General Mark Milley was in Germany with the U.S. Defence secretary Lloyd Austin to discuss the divide within the West over supply of tanks to Ukraine. However, after over five hours of discussions, the western allies failed to resolve differences.
