“Russia Shelled Soledar 106 Times” l Putin Warns West Over Battle Tanks

The Ukrainian military says a ‘fierce battle’ is raging in Soledar, with 43 combat clashes over the past 24 hours. Wagner group head Yevgeny Prigozhin claims Soledar was being stormed “exclusively” by his fighters. Russia-installed officials say a massive retreat of Ukrainian troops from urban areas has been reported in Soledar. Kyiv’s army says Russia shelled the town of Soledar near Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast 106 times over the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Russia has warned that French and other Western weapons supply to Ukraine will “prolong the suffering of the Ukrainian people”. Sky News reports the UK could supply as as many as 10 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine, enough to equip a squadron.
