At all costs, the US Government will do everything in its power to prevent Westerners from acknowledging the existence of the multipolar worldview that those two Great Powers espouse. This is the highest priority of that declining unipolar hegemon’s disinformation operations because it lacks the confidence that Westerners would still support the US’ worldview if they knew of the multipolar alternative that’s jointly promoted nowadays by the Sino-Russo Entente.

US Government-run “Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty” (RFERL) decided to amplify a study from the partially US Government-funded German Marshal Fund’s “Alliance For Securing Democracy” alleging that “China, Russia Cooperating On Propaganda More Than Ever”. The artificially manufactured information warfare narrative that the US Government is laundering through its proxies is intended to manipulate the targeted Western audience’s perceptions about those multipolar Great Powers.

They’re supposed to think that “independent truth-tellers just exposed a dastardly disinformation plot”, but the reality is that this is a carefully crafted deception by the US Government against its own people. The so-called “independent truth-tellers” are partially financed by the US Government and others from the Golden Billion whereas RFERL is completely under the former’s control, while the “dastardly disinformation plot” is simply a convergence of worldviews between Russia and China.

As explained at length in this analysis about China’s recalibrated approach to the Ukrainian Conflict and in this one about the impending trifurcation of International Relations, China had previously been aligned with Russia but not de facto allied with it. The US’ continued military “containment” of the People’s Republic in the Asia-Pacific coupled with the unexpected derailment of their “New Détente” following early February’s balloon incident directly led to the creation of the Sino-Russo Entente.

This outcome was a long time in the making but it wasn’t inevitable seeing as how their de facto alliance could have been avoided had the US simply frozen its military “containment” efforts and seriously negotiated a series of mutual compromises aimed at establishing a “new normal” in their relations. By refusing to do both, the US pushed China into Russia’s arms, thus forcing those two into their entente as a result of these Great Powers’ shared threat perceptions of that declining unipolar hegemon.

It was these US-initiated moves that reshaped China’s worldview to the point where it’s practically indistinguishable from Russia’s nowadays, not any “dastardly disinformation plot” like the US Government’s proxies are trying to brainwash Westerners into believing. In hindsight, the “Alliance For Securing Democracy’s” findings can therefore actually be interpreted as documenting this development over the past year, thus making it a valuable piece of research if viewed from the proper perspective.

By reframing everything according to the artificially manufactured information warfare narrative that the US Government decided to push upon its own people, its policymakers hope to manipulate them into supporting the much more intense phase of the New Cold War that’s already begun. This has taken the form of that former superpower redoubling its dual “containment” efforts of Russia and China on the pretext that their newfound entente is supposedly a “threat to the democratic world”.

If they truly believed otherwise, then the US Government wouldn’t invest so considerably in those aforesaid operations since there wouldn’t be any need to. Instead, it would focus its information warfare campaigns against them on other narratives that don’t include weaponized conspiracy theories that they’re “colluding on propaganda” like its proxies want Westerners to think. This insight proves that the US would lose the war for “hearts and minds” on a level playing field, hence why it’s resorted to lies.
