Earlier this week, the Biden administration approved the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine as soon as pilots are trained on the American aircraft in Denmark, the Netherlands and nine other countries.
In April, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “raised the issue” of his nation obtaining America’s F-16 fighter jets during a phone call with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.).
The U.S. has now delivered an official statement to Denmark and the Netherlands promising to send F-16s to Ukraine as soon as the pilots are finished being trained, according to a Reuters report.

“I am writing to express the United States’ full support for both the transfer of F-16 fighter aircraft to Ukraine and for the training of Ukrainian pilots by qualified F-16 instructors,” Biden’s Secretary of State Blinken said in a letter to the two nations.
Meanwhile, just last month, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned the U.S. providing F-16s to the Ukrainian military would be deemed a nuclear threat by the Kremlin.
Any deployment of U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine will be seen as a direct nuclear threat to Moscow because of their ability to carry atomic weapons, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Thursday. https://t.co/HJ7yDIbQfE

Russia’s reason for being alarmed by the presence of the high-tech jets is actually reasonable considering they have the capability of being equipped with nuclear payloads.
“Russia cannot ignore the ability of these aircraft to carry nuclear weapons. No amount of assurances will help here,” Lavrov said.
Dutch Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra thanked Washington on social media, adding, “Now, we will further discuss the subject with our European partners.”
We welcome Washington's decision to pave the way for sending #F16 Fighter Jets to Ukraine. Many thanks to @SecBlinken for the good and swift cooperation. Now, we will further discuss the subject with our European partners. 🇺🇸🇳🇱🇺🇦 1/2

Conservative radio host Michael Savage called out the military industrial-complex for bringing the “world closer to nuclear war.”

When Biden previously mentioned sending F-16s to Ukraine, he claimed the European nation’s puppet president assured him they would not be used to strike in Russian territories.
However, with recent drone strikes deep into Russia and Zelensky’s snake-like actions, it’s unlikely the promise would be kept.
President Biden said that the U.S. would provide American-made F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, and train its pilots. Biden had once resisted this move, and said Volodymyr Zelensky gave "a flat assurance" that Ukraine won't use the jets in Russian territory. https://t.co/9llfzRxKBR pic.twitter.com/GqcmHNw4PE

The U.S. and several European nations risk escalating the Ukraine-Russia conflict into a WWIII scenario when even Reuters noted at the end of their report that the jets “would have been of little help to Ukraine in its current counteroffensive” and “will not be a game changer when they eventually arrive” because Russia’s air defense systems and air force pilots are mostly in control of the skies over Ukraine.
It’s also worth noting deploying the jets to Ukraine for use in battle will mean more huge contracts for Lockheed Martin, the maker of the lightweight fighter aircraft and a key member of the military-industrial complex currently profiting from dead Ukrainians and Russians.
Perhaps it’s finally time for the American people to hit the streets and protest U.S. support of this ridiculous war.
