Despite the mammoth energy crisis it faces, Europe sounded upbeat about phasing out the usage of coal until recently. It had set an ambitious target of 2030 to achieve this amidst serious concerns of climate change. Take Germany for instance. Scholz promised to take a more sustainable approach as far as energy was concerned. But is he acting in that direction now? No. Fossil fuels are making a comeback in not just Germany but the whole of Europe.
