Russian servicemen repelled ten enemy attacks in the Donetsk direction. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) took offensive actions in the areas of a number of settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic. They were opposed by units of the “Southern” group of Russian troops.
In addition, Russian troops hit the locations of Ukrainian servicemen. In total, over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 230 people, four armored vehicles and six artillery pieces in this direction.
On August 5, the Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of the village of Novoselovskaya in the Luhansk People’s Republic. The settlement was liberated by units of the “Western” group of troops.
