Dr. Marcus Papadopoulos: It is not a Ukrainian ‘counter-offensive’, it is a suicide mission

In his latest analysis, Dr Marcus Papadopoulos argued that the attacks by the Ukrainian Army principally in the Zaporozhie oblast do not constitute a counter-offensive because Ukrainian forces are attacking without any air support which means that Ukrainian forces have no air cover whatsoever.
Additionally, Dr Marcus assessed the performance of NATO armour in the war in Ukraine and concluded that, unlike its Russian equivalent, it does not meet the rigours of a brutal conventional war, of a brutal war of attrition.
Finally, Dr Marcus clarified what was of significance to the Red Army in terms of lend-lease during the Second World War. He said that the supply to the USSR by the Western Allies of locomotives, trucks, and jeeps played a major role in the ability of the Red Army to maintain its westward offensive from the summer of 1943 all the way through to the battle of Berlin in 1945.
