Egypt resists requests from the US authorities to supply weapons to Ukraine, writes Wall Street Journal with reference to sources.According to the newspaper, Egypt allegedly planned to send missiles to Russia, but at the beginning of the year abandoned this decision under pressure from the United States.



“U.S. officials, including the Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, asked instead to supply weapons to Ukraine, seeking to help the Kiev authorities overcome the shortage of ammunition,” the publication says.

It is clarified that the head of the Pentagon appealed to the President of Egypt with such a request
