‘A top climate scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years,’ Thunberg predicted in now-deleted post.

The mainstream media came to climate alarmist Greta Thunberg’s aid over the weekend after she quietly deleted a tweet predicting worldwide calamity this year if the world didn’t stop using “fossil fuels.”

Earlier this month, it was noted Thunberg deleted a tweet from 2018 quoting an article that claimed “climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.”

On Friday, the Associated Press released a “fact check” claiming Greta’s posts were “distorted” and that the claim that Thunberg “deleted a tweet she posted in 2018 in which she said that the world will end in 2023” was “missing context.”

The media institution did not attempt to dispute the fact she made the inane tweet – instead they disingenuously attempted to claim the point of her tweet was being misinterpreted.

To top it off, the AP suggested Greta spread disinformation after the scientist she cited was allegedly misquoted in the article and never in fact made the comments claimed in the first place.

From the AP:

CLAIM: Greta Thunberg recently deleted a tweet she posted in 2018 in which she said that the world will end in 2023.

AP’S ASSESSMENT: Missing context. While Thunberg did delete a 2018 tweet about the urgency of addressing climate change, she did not say the world would end in 2023. Her tweet included a quote from an article that said an influential scientist warned climate change “will wipe out all humanity” unless fossil fuel use was ended “over the next five years.” Further complicating the issue, that article incorrectly summarized the scientist’s speech. He never made such comments.

But Thunberg never said the world was set to end in 2023. The young activist was quoting an article that was paraphrasing a speech by a Harvard University professor of atmospheric chemistry. The scientist said the world had limited time to act to reverse the disappearance of floating ice volume in the Arctic or there would be drastic consequences, not that the world would end in five years.

The AP’s was one of several fact checks published by mainstream media outlets attempting to gaslight people into believing Thunberg hadn’t tweeted out the ridiculous prediction.

As noted by “climate science contrarian” Steve Milloy, the AP’s fact-check did not include a disclaimer noting they receive millions in funding from left-wing groups to pay lip service to the climate change issue.

Evidently if you’re an elite climate change shill the mainstream media will do everything in its power to bail you out if you get yourself into hot water.
