‘Stuck in past’: India lashes UNSC for being detached from current realties amid Russia-Ukraine war

India has made a fearless statement against the United Nations at the UNSC meeting amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. India’s permanent representative to the UN, Ruchira Kamboj, said that the UNSC is stuck in the past and does not reflect current geo-political realities.

The bold statement was made at the UNSC exit briefing that took place after the security council’s meeting on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. In the past too, India has batted for talks but has also abstained from the anti-Russia UN vote.
