The United States is preparing for “unforeseen circumstances” on the border of Russia and Ukraine

U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price said Washington was preparing for “unforeseen circumstances” due to the “concentration of Russian troops” near Ukraine’s borders.

During the briefing, a media representative voiced an earlier statement that the United States was not aware of Russia’s true plans and asked whether this meant that Washington was not ready for what could happen. Price assured that this is not the case. The U.S. is preparing “for a number of unforeseen circumstances,” he said.

Against the background of the aggravation of the situation on the border between Russia and Ukraine, the United States sent the guided-missile destroyer USS Arleigh Burke to the Black Sea.

Moscow has repeatedly stated that such statements by the West are groundless, since the movement of Russian troops is carried out exclusively on its own territory.

Earlier, the Financial Times published an article saying that American intelligence allegedly learned the plans of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Experts predict that the Russian Federation may attack Ukraine in the coming winter.
