The Wagner Group has claimed control over a metal plant in Bakhmut, which Ukraine Army was planning to reportedly turn into its stronghold to hold off Russian advance.



The mercenaries posted a picture from inside the metalworks plant, which is located north of Bakhmut. On the other hand, Russian missiles continued to pound the Donetsk region and one of them allegedly struck a residential building in Kramatorsk.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that six buildings were damaged in the blast and one person was injured. In Russia’s Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, a UAV was shot down by air defences after foiling a major missile attack a day earlier. Russian defence ministry released footage of its artillerymen striking massively on positions, military infrastructure and hardware of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The location of the Russian strikes was not revealed but is inside Ukraine. No details of casualties was released but Russia said that it hit the command posts, communication centres and storage facilities of the Ukrainian Army.
