Ukrainian Army Chief Olaksander Syrskii has confirmed that his military retreated from three villages in the eastern region, giving more ground to Russian forces. The top Ukrainian general also admitted that Russia is making tactical gains. “In general, the enemy achieved certain tactical successes in these areas, but could not gain operational advantages,” he said in a Telegram post, as per Al Jazeera.
